Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actor for more than twenty years. She is most famous for her role as Skyler White in the AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. The actress also played Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Anna Gunn began acting as an infant at Sante Fe New Mexico. Her family then moved to Ohio, where she continued her interest in performing on stage. She attended the British American Drama Academy and took classes in theatre at Northwestern University. Anna was employed by the theater in the Chicago region for a couple of years, before attempting her luck in TV as well as films. Anna was cast as Arden on Down the Shore in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. The early 90s were when she appeared as a regular actor in both film and TV including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue. She starred as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons throughout the decade of 2000. In 2008, she was picked in the role of Skyler as Skyler in Breaking Bad. Sully is the Deadwood film and a few other films included her. Gunn took the stage for David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. In 2022, Gunn appeared in a series of audio play podcast called Numbered Days. The relationship between Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the narrative on Breaking Bad with the strained tension in their relationship, and the eventual end of their relationship echoing the same storyline of Walter White's last years of life.
