Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country music singer and songwriter, whose stories of heartbreak in the early years achieved wide success in the early 20th century. Swift began to develop an interest in musical instruments as a young person and soon progressed from performing in shows for children and then making her first public appearance front of an audience. Swift started writing songs in the teen years. She sang The Star-Spangled Banner for a Philadelphia 76ers NBA game. Swift became inspired to create her own music by the music of country category, like Shania Twain or the Dixie Chicks. Swift's parents moved her from Pennsylvania to Tennessee when she was 13 after selling their Pennsylvania farm. The move enabled Swift to devote more time trying to find labels that would promote country music in Nashville.
