Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor who is well known for his part in the show on television 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. His interest in acting began when he was in college. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. Though he's appeared in films as well as on TV but it's the character actors on smaller screens which have earned him acclaim. He is able to create characters that reflect both the bad and good sides in the law enforcement system. He is able capture the audiences attention effortlessly. He played the part of a serial killer on his first television series project however he later chose to play the role that of a NYPD detective. He was repeatedly recognized for his work in the highly coveted Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. Eyes that are piercing blue on his eyes are thought as the most captivating feature. These have been used for portraying rough characters, as well as give them a sense of humour. The actor was featured in People's magazine's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
